Here are some tips for an enjoyable trip aboard one of the tour boats at Kenai Fjords National Park:
• Dress in layers. Make sure you include a waterproof outer shell. Bring a warm hat and gloves. The best place to enjoy the wildlife and scenery is on the deck, but even on sunny days it can be surprisingly chilly.
• The sun can be bright, so wear a broad-brimmed hat. Bring sunglasses and sunscreen.
• Don't forget the camera, film, batteries and binoculars.
• Bring some food. Many tour companies provide a meal on their trip. Even if they do, you may want some high-energy snacks for the in-between times.
