Here are some tips for an enjoyable trip aboard one of the tour boats at Kenai Fjords National Park:
Dress in layers. Make sure you include a waterproof outer shell. Bring a warm hat and gloves. The best place to enjoy the wildlife and scenery is on the deck, but even on sunny days it can be surprisingly chilly.
The sun can be bright, so wear a broad-brimmed hat. Bring sunglasses and sunscreen.
Don't forget the camera, film, batteries and binoculars.
Bring some food. Many tour companies provide a meal on their trip. Even if they do, you may want some high-energy snacks for the in-between times.
