Getting a better look

A young black bear stands up to get a better look at campers near Thunder Gorge, about a mile from the river crossing of Saturday's Crow Pass Crossing. At least two black bears were spotted in the area the morning of the race, which goes from near Girdwood to the Eagle River Nature Center.
