Flying for fun in the September sun

Dave Mulholland flies in the setting sun Sunday in his Aeronca Sedan floatplane after practicing a splash-and-go on Lake Spenard. Mulholland was "just out having fun" while enjoying his first summer of flying a floatplane. Commercial flightseeing operations offer visitors a birds-eye-view of Alaska and are found throughout the state.
