Fishing licenses can be bought at many stores in Alaska. You can also apply online for resident and nonresident fishing and hunting licenses.
A resident fishing license costs $15. Nonresident licenses are on a sliding scale; for example, a three-day nonresident fishing license costs $20.
Anglers can pick up a copy of the state regulations at almost any store that sells fishing goods, and in parts of Alaska that's almost every grocery, convenience, hardware and sporting goods store. In addition, the rules are available online for the state's regions.
