GOOSE LAKE PARK: A swimming beach makes this a popular place for locals on sunny days. East Northern Lights Boulevard to Providence Drive.

ELDERBERRY PARK: Complete with playground equipment, the park sits near the end of the Coastal Trail, which is popular with dog walkers, joggers, skaters and bicyclists. West Fifth Avenue and M Street.

LYNARY PARK: Also accessible to the Coastal Trail, this park has a kid-size climbing wall. Foraker Drive and Iliamna Avenue.
